The ASICS Skateboarding team spent a week testing the terrain in Minneapolis and St. Paul this summer, with "Minnesotan cultural icon Pat Gallaher," Village Psychic wrote on YouTube. From start to finish, this clip packs a serious punch. Take a look:
The video features Dougie George, Zander Mitchell, Jaakko Ojanen, Shay Sandiford, Sully Cormier, Alan Bell, Ty Stigney, Jasper Steinbach, Jonathon Reese, and Pat Gallaher.
One thing I really like about this crew is their combined creativity. There's no weak link here—not even close. And Jacob Palumbo did a great job both behind the lens and piecing it all together. At just under six minutes, this was an easy watch and my only complaint would be that I would've loved a little more.
The Asics team is growing and I continue to be super impressed with not only their video offerings, but the way they've come out and presented themselves since their debut. Clean, strong, subtle. They're making a statement with every move they make, all without throwing it in our faces too much. That isn't an easy thing to do, so I applaud them for that.
I'll tell you what—Minneapolis and St. Paul have spots! There are some serious gems peppered into this clip and as mentioned, this crew knows how to approach them with fresh minds and plenty of creativity. And if this edit was supposed to make me want to skate some Asics, consider that box checked! This crew makes them look too sick.
Oh, and just FYI, the last trick is a real head-scratcher! You'll see.
