It’s been rad watching Asics really come into its own over the past year in the skateboarding world.

Asics continues to prove they’re here to stay with flavorful drops like this. The Japan Pro might be one of the the brand’s most sought-after silhouettes, and I've been seeing more and more of skateboarding's finest rocking them.
“The Japan Pro shoe is based on the FABRE® JAPAN S™ basketball shoe from 1981 but is updated for today’s skateboarding standards,” Asics mentions. “The upper is formed with leather paneling and triple-stitching on the heel and toe area to help improve durability. It also incorporates an elastic band and thicker tongue help create better comfort and a supportive fit.”
Again, it's just been rad watching the Asics skateboarding program continue to find its footing over the past year or so. Can't say it enough. I never really questioned what they were building, but they’ve consistently shown they’re down to do things the right way—putting skateboarding first.
