Overview: In this underwater action game based on the old Jaws films, you get to play the role of the mammoth great white shark (role reversal!).

Gameplay: The dismemberment engine in Jaws Unleashed is the best thing going for it: There are a whopping 25-plus points of body-part disconnection. Constantly tasked with satisfying an insatiable hunger, Jaws can do nasty things like munch a fisherman's leg off, watch humorously as the angler frantically dog-paddles away, and then put him outta his misery with a bite to the cranium. There's sadistic fun in playing the shark, but I can't help but wonder if the looming fear around playing Chief Brody would offer a better gaming experience.

Graphics: Definitely not the game's strong suit.

Sound: "Duuuuun dun. Duuun dun. Dun dun. Dun dun. Dun dun. Duh.

Entertainment: The developers of the old Dreamcast game Ecco The Dolphin definitely amped up the body count with Unleashed, but overall, the game's one-dimensionality reeks like unrefrigerated salmon.—Clay Staeshon
