While celebrating his birthday in his hometown of Denver over the weekend, the Zero crew pulled off a perfectly executed surprise, officially turning David Reyes pro (and for many folks, officially introducing him to the team).
Surrounded by friends, family, and the always-ripping Denver skate community, it was a night to remember—and a well-deserved moment for someone who’s been putting in years of work on the board. Peep the photos below. Yeah, David!

“David Reyes is on Zero and I couldn’t be happier,” David's Zero teammate and homie, Adam Arunski wrote on Instagram. “We took a short trip to his hometown of Denver, Colorado to celebrate his birthday, to surprise the community with the first looks of his board graphics, and to announce him to the team worldwide for all eternity; special thanks to @303boards and the many folks who made this all happen.”
He ended the caption reminding everyone to go buy David’s debut pro model Zero boards from your local shop (or on the Zero site if there are any left).
Birthday celebration. Surprise pro boards. In his hometown, no less!? I'm stoked just thinking about it. Anytime David and I have ever crossed paths, he's always been cool. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table while waving the Zero flag. Congrats, duder! And as Arunski mentioned, shoutout to everyone who helped pull off the surprise. When's the next Zero vid?
