The Empire Games is a 2 stop series of unconventional skateboard contest where the focus is having fun. The first stop for 2016 was the Night Race on July 23, at Montreal's finest D.I.Y, Project 45- gofundme.com/projet45. We sparked things off with the first ever #ScooterToss, Callum Paul hailing from Australian was victorious during the opening ceremony festivities.
Once the rain past and the blow torches dried the course it was time to get the high speed action started with the Night Race. There was many fierce head to head battles however it was Remi "Rat Pack" Aubie who pulled ahead of them all for a second year in a row and took home 1st place and $1000.00, coming in second with a stand out performance was Hugo "The Croatian Sensation" Balek and Leon "The Chameleon" Chapdelaine coming in 3rd.
