Shaun Hover rules. This is a heartwarming display of family bonding and life lessons, and it stems from skateboarding. When Shaun brings his kids along on these sessions, he's not so much teaching them how to skate as he is instilling the mentality of a skateboarder, which is so rad.
Not only do I love the fist bump at the beginning, right before he starts grinding, but the cherry on top is the excited downward fist pump his daughter does as he lands the trick—too good! I mean, just look at how much fun they're having?

"People ask if I’m teaching my kids to skate. I do teach them how to skate as much as they want me to (which isn’t much) but more importantly I’m teaching all of them to have the mentality of a skateboarder," Shaun writes on Instagram. "In that sense, whether they skate or not, all of my kids are skaters. And I believe that mentality will benefit their lives no matter what their passions and goals are." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
He ends the post by saying, "So grab your kids, throw them over a fence and have fun!" And I think we can all safely take a page out of Shaun's book. Skateboarding is so much more than learning tricks and looking cool. The amount of life lessons that stem from it are endless, and this mentality is so cool. Rad Dad of the year!
