Words and photos by Allen Ying
This art show opened saturday night at 3rd Ward, in Brooklyn, New York,
featuring paintings, illustrations and other mixed media on skateboard
decks, something that is somewhat overdone, but this show actually had
really good stuff by a bunch of artists from Detroit.
Bobby Puleo has a wall of his found objects collection, and Josh
Stewart curated an installation of photography and video, showcasing
photographs from, Mike O'Meally, Dominic Marley, Jonathan Mehring,
Allen Ying, Fred Mortagne, Benjamin Deberdt, and Josh Stewart, and
video excerpts from indy skate vids by Joe Perrin, Dan Santiago,
Sylvain Robineau, Joe Staley, Dan Kircher, and Josh Stewart.
