This one came across our scrolling screens and put us on pause. In Jake Selover's well-crafted new OJ Wheels part "I've Been Bored," he launches out of a curb cut in what appears to be a backside bigspin, but here's where it gets confusing. There's a metal "clank" of his truck hitting the curved bar, so was he going for a frontside boardslide, or a nosebonk backside 180 out?
We didn't see this reposted anywhere else, but the keen eyes of our mates across the pond at Free Skate Mag put it on a loop.
Gotta say, we've watched this hundreds of times and can't really make heads or tails of it. Whatever it is, or was meant to be, he landed it clean and with speed, and that's what makes a great clip.
Oddly enough in the comments, no one's really digging in and giving an opinion. Guess it'll just exist for now. Perhaps we'll come back to this in some future panel discussion of skate nerds.
