Kona Russi just hit us with yet another bangin’ edit titled "Proof of Life" and it feels like the perfect way to cap off the year. It’s stacked with a proper mix of local talent, hungry ams, and some of your favorite pros, with an energy that’ll have you reaching for your board from beginning to end.
The video features: Emmanuel Duran, Myles Furukawa, Vince Ruocco, Ryder Sapp, Steve Merrill, Lawrence Quero, Silas Wieners, Kai Wolkensdörfer, Taiyo Fuji, Pitas Higgins, Hugo Boserup, Liam Hagenbach, Jason Flemming, Dom Grasso, Myles Strampello, Brennen Clark, Diego Todd and Cash Kenton. And if you're familiar with Russi's edits, you'll probably see some familiar names. Everyone went off, nonetheless.
Russi dropped "Keep on Knocking" earlier this year in May. (Watch it here!) Similar to his other edits, we saw dudes like Max Palmer and Cyrus Bennett in the mix alongside a ton of hungry up-and-comers. And I dropped in "Hold Your Ground" above, which hit the Interwebs in December 2024—another must-watch. Similar vibes. Similar energy. Boom.
Edits like "Proof of Life" hit home for skaters everywhere, if you ask me. From the spots we recognize to the cutty little gems that make us envious, it’s the different styles and personal approaches that make it work. Everyone brings something to the table, and it keeps the stoke moving forward time and time again. And the soundtracks are always just the icing on the cake.
Hats off to Kona and all the skaters involved. Take this one with you into the new year.
