The skate scene in South Africa is epic. It's energetic, flourishing, positive. Guys and girls, young and old—no boundaries—it's really unique and something that almost has to be felt to fully understand.
But if you can't be there yourself, consider this the next best thing.

Leticia Bufoni and Aldana Bertran recently rolled around South Africa to explore its flourishing female skate scene—from Johannesburg to Cape Town—and let's just say...the vibes were high!
While they were out there, the crew logged a ton of clips, got some great interview opportunities with the locals and packaged it all up into a short documentary-style film called, Leticia Pushes Mzansi.
In the 20 minute film, we get a real inside look at this thriving scene and a ton of the personalities that make it so unique. From some heavy spots (and the stories behind them) to a variety of different styles—on and off the board—you can't help but feel just how epic this community of skateboarders truly is.
Everyone is hyped. Everyone is skateboarding. It just doesn't get any better.
