From the talented folks at Motion Clubhouse comes the latest episode of ‘Pen Pals’, featuring the artwork of Jack Hyde Animations, the highly talented stop motion animator who has an eye for radness.
The video features a ton of bangers from Sean Malto's And Now part, peppered in with some Mike Mo clips and a few surprise gems that are bound to get you as stoked as me. This really is a work of art.
There's so much going on here, but it's impossible to look away. One thing I really like is how he shows the process of the cut-outs. By the looks of it, I have to imagine completing this was quite a feat...but well worth it.
Pretty amazing.
Malto's part in the 20th Transworld video, And Now was definitely groundbreaking when it released. Sean was at the top of his game and it's really rad to revisit some of his most memorable tricks in this fashion. Plus, all the Mike Mo clips are a great walk down memory lane.
But the Biebel, Howard and Carrol clips—even though it's just one from each—really hit hard. Despite the fact that they're animations, you can still picture each of those tricks going down unanimated. Timeless.
Stuff like this is a breath of fresh air. Jack and the folks at Motion Clubhouse are onto something...can't wait for the next one.
