Look: These Skaters Made A DIY Skatepark Completely Out Of Ice Blocks

A variety of local rippers making up four teams from the Midwest were tasked with creating their own skatepark using ice blocks and plywood in the latest version of #RedBullDIY.

Each team got as creative as possible and put it all on the line to create the best edit from their respected session in hopes of taking the cake in this unique DIY skate contest.

Honestly, every edit is super rad and it's actually really impressive how creative each team got. Even judging it based on the teaser above, you can tell that everyone involved did not hold back and clearly had some straight up fun in the process. I mean...you're skating ice! That's rad!

Although the wheel isn't necessarily being reinvented with this concept (even Mystery had an old ad campaign doing the same thing just about a decade ago; mentioning solely to respectfully give some credit where it's due) it will always be entertaining to watch metal trucks and soggy planks of wood grind and slide on icy obstacles. Kickflip back tail? Nollie heel front nose? That ledge is just a literal slab of ice.

In fairness, these teams really took it all to the next level and pieced together some interesting setups, but that's skateboarding for you. So much subtle creativity resting peacefully in the minds of so many, eager to thrive in moments like this whether they realize it or not.

Watch all the entries and vote for your favorite now! The audience—you, me, the rest of the world—are the judges, and in all honesty, it's a tough choice. Check the teaser above if you haven't already, just to get a taste. Then head to the @redbullskate Instagram to watch them all.
