New Transworld Video

Lets talk about the new video¿who's in it?
John Cardiel, Henry Sanchez, Dustin Dollin, Heath Kirchart, Jason Dill, and Tosh Townend. Is this the biggest contrast of skaters we've had so far? How did this come about?
Cardiel was supposed to be in the last video. He had footage, but we decided to put his part back to this video to make it really strong. During the last video, Heath talked about doing a part for this one, so there's new footage of Heath. How did Henry end up in it?
Some people I knew approached me, and some people Jon knew approached him separately. At first I didn't know what to think¿ofcourse Henry's a legend. I started hearing more and more about his footage from some pretty reliable sources and decided to go for it. Then I saw his footage, which is pretty amazing. What about Dollin? He's the newest skater¿does he replace anyone, or is he just in there?
No he's just in there.Who's been filming him?
Tye filmed him a lot when they were on the Lakai tour. Dustin has his own camera, so his buddy, the same guy who did some of the Baker stuff, has been filming him. I think he pretty much has a full part.

You shot some 35mm at the Y the other day. Explain why you did that.
I started working for Transworld shooting sixteen, and over time I've done more and more. I've never shot 35mm of skating before, and it's something I've been itching to do. To shoot 35mm of street is just too hard because you need to rent the equipment on a day rate. A lot of the time, when you go out and shoot street you never get anything in the day¿maybe just one or two things. I knew if we were going to rent the camera and do a 35 shoot, the best thing would be to shoot vert. I wanted to shoot at Bob's ramp, but Bob wanted to save his ramp for the Firm video, which I totally understand. So we decided to do it at the Y. The two people I knew would be the hardest to get were Bob and Tony Hawk. Coordinating those two for the same day was really hard. We had to plan a month ahead. Tony was like, "How about three weeks from Friday at one in the afternoon." That was the day we got Tony, and Bob was available, too. Mike Frazier was in town for the trade show, so we got him to stay. Bucky, Jesse Fritch, and Pierre Luc were there also, so it ended up being a really good session. It worked out because everyone, except Colin, who skates the Y was there, and we ended up getting a lot of good footage. We used reflectors, lights, and tracks set up.Are you having some trouble finding a name for the new video?
Not really trouble, but I feel that the video is going to be big, just because of the scope of people who are in it. Jon and I have both been thinking of a thousand names, but to find a name that'll equal the impact I think the video will make is hard¿but we're going to get it.
