Pharmacy Boardshop just dropped its new full-length video, Skateboarding Is Dead and it's stacked with a solid blend of heavy pros and local rippers alike. Boo Johnson opens the video with a powerful new part—setting the tone perfectly—and from there, the rest of the squad delivers on all fronts. No weak link here! Take a look:
"This full length video has been in the works for over 2 years now and was set to release early 2024 as a montage. The original name was 'RX4L' (Pharmacy for life) but over time we kept adding clips extending the run time," Pharmacy wrote on YouTube.
"Then after to much time passing we created this running joke in our circle which was 'Skateboarding is Dead.' Who cares anymore about a full length video? Instant gratification is now the running theme of our industry. Straight to Instagram. But after sitting on this unfinished project for so long the team kept stacking clips and eventually we had a full length video. So after a long time overdue we present to you our newest video 'SKATEBOARDING IS DEAD'. A joke and a nod to life before algorithms, before AI, before the internet flattened everything raw and humane about skateboarding and turned it into 'content.' Whatever skateboarding means to you, is what skateboarding is."
The video features Boo Johnson, Steven Garcia, Nano Campos, Jimmy Cascio, Carl Aikens, Josh Flodter, Marc Arias, Cody Grant, Nobi Villalobos, Steve Gamboa, Taylor "Spud" Moyer, Chris Drysen, Sienna Jones, Keelan Dadd, Austin Holcomb, Johnathan Lane, Dane Figueroa, Jordan Powell, Joey Gonzales, Kevin Scott, Erro Perez, Malcom Cook, Alex Victoria, Blake Norris, Ryan Clarke, Matt Allen, Joseph Jones, Emile Murray, Carlos Vega, Brad Lane, and Natalie Schwartz.
It's a heavy squad and each of them brought something raw and refreshing to the table. Shop videos will always hold a special place in my heart, and similar to what Pharmacy wrote in the description, they're few and far between these days. This video was an absolute breath of fresh air and I'm stoked to see these hungry up-and-comers getting the shine they deserve. Support your local skateshop and get out there!
