Scott's rarely given interviews over the years, he's sat back and let his massively influential skateboarding do the talking. The heaviest of which is undoubtedly his Bootleg 3000 video part from 2003.
People still talk about this part all the time—how incredible it was for someone so young, putting down so many handrail NBDs, and packing a twelve-minute part with all bangers and no filler. So take a trip down memory lane with Scott and us, and hear some stories behind some of these insane clips.
The tricks still stand up! J Strickland did a great job with the editing and music. The Bootleg aesthetic stood out in the field of videos dropping back in 2003.
The switch frontside heelflip noseslide and the kickflip frontside noseslide are still two of the heaviest handrail tricks ever done. It literally took years for other handrail skaters to catch up to what Scott was doing back then. The stories behind those two tricks are rad.
