So What's The Story With This Colorful Grant Brittain Photo?

Legendary TWS photog Grant Brittain recently posted a photo on his IG with a great backstory. A frontside 180 Ollie at Med Choice in San Diego by former pro Eric Conner, but the image looks cross-processed or perhaps some other form of alteration had occurred. Grant breaks it down in his caption.

What became of a flood and a muddy filing cabinet most agree turned out beautiful. Keep in mind this was shot on film in the 90s, to get colors like this you couldn't simply move a few sliders around in Photoshop.

The algae growing on it is almost perfect, giving it a dark, eerie vignette. And the big bubble in the center formed an abstract shape that somehow didn't obscure the skater. Pretty cool to find something like this after a flood. Someone in the comments was even asking for prints! But Grant just laughed it off.

If you haven't gotten your hands on Grant's book Push, it's an incredible collection of his 80s photos. A must have.
