Backside Ollie By Brian Sumner
1. This trick's one of my faves to do! It's the kind of trick you can do many different ways. In this sequence, I basically just rode up the bank with enough speed to clear the gap, hit my tail, and ollied-like regular ollies, you have to stay over your board.
2. This is the part, especially on ramps, where it gets difficult. What you need to do is keep your weight moving, and keep the board underneath you. On the bank, you have to make sure you ollie at the right time.
3. On a bank with no gap, you can go slow and ollie high and turn late. In this case here, you need to float across it, so by the time you reach the other side you're ready to roll away. Just make sure your feet stay over the board, and use your shoulders and waist to control the board.
4. Take backside ollies to ramps next. On a ramp, you need to make sure you can drag the board up with you and reach hang time at about 90 degrees. Then on the way down, turn your body the rest of the 90 degrees and roll away!
