The Current Street Skating King of New York: No Spot Is Safe From This Powerhouse (Clip)

The New York streets are literally Tyshawn Jones' own personal playground. The way he pushes from block to block hitting everything in sight—spots any average skateboarder probably wouldn't even notice—with an incomprehensible amount of power is beyond me.

Someone commented, "This man takes two steps and he’s doing 35 mph like how," and if you look closely, it's true. TJ is a beast and at this point, I don't think he'll ever slow down.

He's literally out there just doing whatever he wants. It's like he scans the intersections, up and down the blocks, and all the while he's pushing towards whatever gets in his way. But when you have the pop and confidence that TJ has, you'd probably be doing the same thing.

That last Ollie on that hefty bump to bar makes no sense. He's floating, like honestly floating, and still lands with enough speed to do it all over again. The 360 flip slam doesn't even matter. He had already shut the city down with this insane line. Go get some water. Grab a coffee. Grab some food.

Session over.

But you know that most likely wasn't the case. Skating New York is very spontaneous. I can't even imagine the amount of insane tricks TJ does on a daily basis that don't get documented.

No spot is safe when Tyshawn is pushing though. It's just a fact. Pedestrians beware.
