Sometimes you can't help but be just as stoked on that spot that is being skated as the skating itself. In this case, both are top shelf and that's why this clip is pure gold.
For starters, Darren Navarrette, or The Vertical Vampire, is looking stronger on his board than he ever has. There is no lack of flow and fluidity as he hits every pocket of this bowl with style and grace.

If you follow Darren on Instagram, then you know he's been on quite the spiritual journey the last year or so. It seems to be working, too, mentally and physically. He always seems to be smiling ear to ear these days, enjoying his sessions and the natural progression that comes with them.
It's sort of like he shot straight back to his roots. He's been having tons of sessions with close friends (just like this), skating a bunch of incredible backyard vert ramps, roaming the coast on his quiver of four-wheeled toys and all the while, continues to spread positivity off the board.
They don't make 'em like this anymore! Navs is one of a kind. His eyes have seen it all, generations of talent, and he's still steering the ship as one of skateboarding's most respected captains. Seeing him ripping this hard and digging into his bag of tricks is nothing short of inspiring.
If only we could all be this cool!
