First of all—how many Dunk drops are happening in December!? The SuperSonics just dropped, Nicole Hause’s are landing in a few days, and as of today, it appears that these wild Wizard of Oz Dunks are expected to hit your favorite skateboarding retailers on 12/19. Take a look:
Secondly, can we just take a moment to really digest these? I mean, those Verdy Dunks a few months back were a little out there. In fact, there have been plenty of debatable drops over the years (they all still sell out, obviously) but these things are impossible to look away from.
All I’m wondering is if people are actually going to skate these? In fairness, I pretty much wonder that every time a new Dunk drops, but still. Nike SB just keeps pumping 'em out either way!
Don’t get me wrong—I’m not hating. I just wasn’t expecting to see these pop up in my feed today! Shoot, I love The Wizard of Oz, too! It’s an absolute classic. But yeah, these are pretty wild.
At any rate, our friends at @nikesbornothing mentioned these will be hitting shops around mid-December. Whether you find them wild-looking or not, these Dunk drops play a crucial role in supporting your favorite skate shops. That's why I'm backing them all the way.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they’re on their way! For those of you out there who can pull these off—respect. More power to you! For those of you trying to secure a pair and participate in the art of the hustle—cool. But for those of you who saw these and thought, “I can’t wait to skate those!” Well, I salute you.
Support your local skate shop!
