Between the spot, the tricks and Tom Asta’s effortless style, this clip is on point. Tom has always done an incredible job making tough tricks seem way too easy, and that notion is on full display here.
And again…beyond the tricks themselves, this DIY looks like it was built with some proper TLC.

Things start off with a bang but only get better from there. Tom is looking solid here—precise, powerful, no gimmicks. Just straight up skateboarding.
He writes, “Breaking in the new ledge @gpsdiy! S/O all the homies and anyone who donated their time, money and hard work into getting a proper ledge THANK YOU!“ so by the sounds of it, this spot is obviously new and everyone involved deserves some props for sure. Looks more like a proper park than crusty DIY.
I love his approach to those first two lines—quick hit on the ledge/manny pad then a trick over that skinny cinder block ledge. Rad!
The manual banger to shut it all down couldn’t have been better. Technical, stylish, controlled. Hats off to Tom! I’d say he broke this spot in the right way.
If you're in the New Jersey area, stop by and rip! But as always, just make sure to treat the spot with respect.
