This past weekend at the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA, Tony Hawk joined Goldfinger on stage to celebrate the band’s recent gold album milestone. It wasn’t The Birdman's first time grabbing a mic with them, but this one felt special.

Between the resurgence of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game franchise this year and the nostalgia the song still carries for many (me), it was actually quite a sight to see. Decades later, the connection still seems as strong as ever. Take a look:

Since we're talking about the THPS video game franchise, Tony’s team surprised him with a custom “real-life level” inside his office on release day—complete with goofy obstacles and nostalgic nods to classic challenges from the game.

"Do not try this at home," Tony joked on Instagram. "Unless you have a rainbow rail and a lemon loaf." You'll see. Take a look below:

"Everything you loved is back," it mentions on the official THPS game website. "But revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, eardrum shattering music, plus a whole lot more." From Bam Margera to Andy Anderson, Nora Vasconcellos to Jamie Foy, and countless others, the amount of new players is exciting in itself. But all the new levels do look pretty fun. The attention to detail is real.

To be fair, Goldfinger’s success certainly started long before the video game era, but with that said, there’s no denying the role that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater played in introducing their music (and countless others) to a new generation.

Call it a full circle moment. Call it whatever you want. But this was pretty rad.
