Tony Hawk is adding something new to the résumé this weekend. That's right! Our fearless leader is set to make his stage debut in Golden State Ballet’s Nutcracker on Saturday night—and yes, as always, he's expected to be rolling around one way or another.
It’s not every day you see skateboarding meet ballet—actually sounds pretty funny just typing that out, ha!—but The Birdman never really followed a normal path anyway, right? Right. Say what you want, but I think this is super rad.
Oh, and since we don't have any photos of Tony in tights at the ballet yet, might as well revisit his super heavy "50 Tricks at Age 50" video part below.
“Just exactly what he’ll be doing in the ballet is still being worked out, and it will be kept a secret until 7:30 p.m. showtime on Saturday.” wrote Pam Kragen at the San Diego Union-Tribune. “But Golden State Ballet’s CEO and Director Raul Salamanca said that Hawk’s team did reach out to ask whether the Civic Theatre’s stage would accommodate a skateboard.”
At this point, what can't The Birdman do?! The list is too long, and guess what? I ain't here to list it! But on and off the board, he had one helluva year in 2025 (who's been to Chick & Hawk?) and to add an appearance in the Nutcracker is all time. Unfortunately, this is all I really know at this point, but it's enough to provide some serious stoke. Who's getting tickets?
