An OG among OGs, Ron Allen is still out there charging well into his later years. Fueled with an infectious PMA, Ron made filming this part look easy. Pushing 60 never looked so good!
With over 40 years of skating under his feet and showing no signs of slowing down, Ron’s dedication to skateboarding is truly inspiring and it really shines in this part from Krooked celebrating his guest pro model.
Still riding walls, still taking slams, still rifling off those long, cruisey lines, watching Ron skate is really a sight to behold. Inspiring? Well, yeah...but not for some basic reasons. Not just because he's simply still doing it, but because he's still giving off that crazy positive energy with every trick and every push.
When Ron is hyped, you're hyped. Simple as that.
Beyond all the street stuff, dodging pedestrians and catching grinds, I really loved the bowl clips as well. There's just a few, but they hit.
Late flips and late shuvs, classic Bay Area spots, the bucket hat with his hair popping out—sometimes it's the little things that really shine the brightest. Nostalgic, but not. This is now! Ron is still out there.
And we love to see it. Can't wait for the next one!
