JT—Entrepreneur Of The Year
Jamie Thomas accepted the regional award for Entrepreneur of the Year on Wednesday June14th. Award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges composed of leaders from some of San Diego's most prominent business, academic and civic organizations. Over the past twenty years, Ernst & Young has selected individuals from the U.S. as well as around the globe to take part in their Entrepreneur of the year award honors.
Like a fish out of water in a room of 700 corporate business leaders, Thomas was in the final group of nominees along with the CEO from WD-40 and the founder of the Eastridge Group.
Surrounded by family and longtime employees, he accepted this prestigious award for Consumer & Business related Products on behalf of Black Box Distribution and its employees.
Upon hearing the news of the award, Chad Foreman GM of Black Box said "It feels great to be recognized outside of our industry by people that have no idea what skateboarding means to all of us.
Jamie added; "I am so thankful for the team we have at Black Box, our employees and riders work so hard and it's amazing to see it recognized on a business level.
