Emerica Drops Another New Colorway of the 'OG-1' For Fall 2024

"Just how you remember it. Made for the Emerica fans. Made for skateboarding."

There is no shortage of classic shoe sillouhettes to be unearthed in the Emerica archive, but that doesn't mean some fresh new colorways of our classic favorites can't bring even more new life to these nostalgic kicks.

Available now in black/tan/orange, the OG-1 is rightfully taking up space on skate shop shoe walls, and personally, I love to see it. Peep one of the latest colorways below. These things are looking good.

I can't help but sort of repeat myself when I talk about these unearthed gems that Emerica keeps hitting us with, but depending on your age, or rather, the era you grew up skating, you might remember these as Marc Johnson's signature model.

Again, I guess that's really here nor there, but these are just oozing with nostalgia either way. It's really no surprise whatsoever this has been one of their most demanded reissued shoes.

"A timeless silhouette from the late 90’s, the reissued OG-1 features a bulletproof full rubber cupsole, a suede/mesh upper, add in triple stitch reinforcements in the high-wear zones for added durability, and the classic herringbone tread for grip," Emerica mentions.

Humbling tacking on, "Just how you remember it. Made for the Emerica fans. Made for skateboarding."

It's pretty wild how the sight of a shoe can bring back so many memories, and I'm obviously not the only person who feels this way. There's certainly no shortage of options when it comes to skate shoes these days, but I'm glad to see that classics like this are proving their timelessness.

The subtle little details make these shoes extra special. It's like opening up a shoe box from the late 90s; a priceless feeling, in my opinion.

Love 'em or hate 'em, but it appears to me that these are here to stay. Head to your local shop and ask for them by name.

Long live the classics! Keep them coming, Emerica.
