Back in October, HUF tapped 11 of their favorite skate shops to film an edit and shine some light on their local scene.

The participating shops were: Geometric (Dallas, TX), 303 (Denver, CO), Humidity (New Orleans, LA), Cowtown (Phoenix, AZ), Familia (Minneapolis, MN), Orchard (Boston, MA), Slappy's (San Diego, CA), Atlas (San Mateo, CA), KCDC (Brooklyn, NY), Val Surf (Valley Village, CA), and Post Modern (West Palm Beach, FL).

And after tallying the votes, asking the team, and flipping a coin...HUF has officially found their AREA CODE shop winner! Peep the winning edit below:

One of Arizona's finest core shops, Cowtown took the cake for the first year ever, and we're stoked for 'em all over here. Honestly, all the edits were super dope and this could not have been easy to pick a winner.

Big shoutout to all the participating shops, and of course HUF for hosting. Every one of the shops on that list does so much for their local skate communities, and again, they each came through with some incredible entries.

Even though the contest is over, I suggest watching all the edits if you haven't yet. If anything, I'd be curious to see who you think should've won. Hey, it's all fun and games and we're all here to scratch each others backs one way or another, but still, there were some heavy entries!

These hometown heroes across the country ain't messing around.

Well, again, hit up the HUF site and watch all the edits here. Cowtown might get the cash, but every shop involved got to hit the streets with a little extra motivation, and all the tees they each designed for the contest were super sick, too! Keepsakes for days.

The holidays are here! Let this be a reminder to support YOUR local skate shop this holiday season. It means more than you know, and let's be real, it's way better than shopping online. Skate shops rule!

Congrats to Cowtown on the win. Who's gonna take it next year?
