Paul Coutherut's "Hurt Video" is a Must Watch
Pauly Coots can really capture the NYC working class skateboarding scene like no one else. It also helps to have Max Palmer, Cyrus Bennett, Karim Callendar and Nik Stain pepper in the montages. Pauly's 2021 Hit Video was just that, and a tease last week that a new Pauly Coots opus was coming had us frothing. Well, Sunday morning came, as it always does, and we were delighted to launch the Youtube app on our smart TV, draw the curtains and let this one rip. You won't be disappointed, and you also won't see this level of camaraderie among real deal skateboarders anywhere else—and filmed on VX. Enjoy.
The soundtrack ranges from Collective Soul to Sublime to Madonna, and every song hits. No one really captures as much Max Palmer magic and Pauly. Brian Brown and Kenny Anderson cameos? Yup. And the Flushing ender from Antonio Durao is the perfect icing on this cake.
