Over the past few years, Mariah Duran has become a household name in the skateboarding world. Her talent is impossible to ignore, her technical skill is admirable, to say the least, and she's constantly making it all look too easy.

In Part 1 of Beyond the Ride, a new series presented by Street League, Mariah hooks us up with an intimate look into the foundation of her success—her family (well, mainly her two brothers), who have been some of her biggest supporters since the day she stepped on a board. Great episode! Take a look:

From sharing her first board with her brother to where she is now, Mariah's story is super inspiring. It's pretty wild where these little four-wheeled toys can take us, and I'd say Mariah can certainly vouch for that.

She's honestly been killing it for years now and her progression has been really humbling to see. Whether she's stacking clips in the streets or handling biz on the contest course, she's undeniably the real deal.

Similar to Braden Hoban's Beyond the Ride episodes (watch below), it's really cool to see Mariah's folks talking about the glory days when she first got into skating. So often we see our favorite skateboarders in the limelight or up on a pedestal of sorts, so it's always a treat to learn about where it all began.

We all get hit with that initial spark at some point! Super cool. And that old footage of Mariah when she was younger is about as classic as it gets.

It's also really cool that she's able to bring her brothers and family with her to all the SLS stops and other contests. Like she mentions, "It only makes sense to share it with somebody."

So rad.

Stay tuned for the second installment. Keep your eyes on Mariah this year! This ripper is just getting started.
