I've said it once and I'll say it again—the options are pretty much endless when it comes to reimagining Zero's timeless 'Bold' graphic. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm not saying "there are no bad ideas" because of course, there are plenty. But I'm backing their small batch 'Spider Web' decks that they just dropped on their site. Take a look:

Personally, I have a very close relationship with Zero's iconic 'Bold' graphic. We all have our "first real board" story and this was mine. Black and white with some hints of red peppered in. (@Ben and @Jamie, can you guys please just make a "small batch" of those so I can relive my childhood!)

Misled Youth was already out in the wild and Dying to Live would drop a few years later—both life-changing skateboarding videos as far as I'm concerned. And I was about as Zero or Die as any other enthusiastic fan out there.

I will say this—it took a while for the powers that be to sort of play around with this classic graphic. Don't fix what isn't broken, right? Sure. And as much as I always respected that, I absolutely love all the fun experimenting they've done with not only this classic Zero graphic over the years, but a handful of others.

The Zero archive is deep. They could reissue a timeless graphic every season if they wanted to, but I understand why they don't. They're still a modern skate company with a ripping team, pumping out the goods like any other brand out there. The 'Bold' will always be there, and it will always be a bold statement board as well.

There are a million skateboard graphics out there to love and admire. We all have our favs—past and present—and that's just a part of what makes skateboarding so rad. But there's just always been something strong and raw about this graphic. Of course they're gonna play around with it, you know?

If you want one, here's your chance. But they are limited, so GTWYC!
