A short and sweet ode to the most difficult banks you never want to skate, and to the dude who's tamed 'em better than most. Kevin Spanky Long has returned to this haunt on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles over many years and many video parts. Memory Screen can always cobble together these things the best. Have a jam.
"A look back at all the clips Kevin Long filmed at LA High over the years, with a guest appearance by Jerry Hsu. Enjoy."
Good luck if you ever make the pilgrimage to skate these things. The adjacent street is busy as hell too with cars flying by, so if you're board shoots out—bummer. It is worth it though to retrace Guy Mariano's epic line from Mouse, or go inside and check out where the long three-stair rail used to be that Koston, Wray and Welsh all stamped epic tricks on. The bank over the dirt is inside the school too. And the blue ledges that Jeron skates in Mouse if you remember those.
Jerry Hsu has some nice guest clips in here, and we'd be remiss if we didn't give Andrew Allen a big shout for the clips he's procured on this nightmare of a spot.
Home of the Romans, did you know that LA High is the oldest high school in SoCal and in the LA school district? The footage in here spans from 2005 to 2024. Trip out.
More from Memory Screen!
