The classic formula of stacking clips with your friends and making a montage is something that will never get old in skateboarding. It keeps the stoke alive, keeps us in the streets and when it's all said and done, it always leaves us wanting more.
Shane Aukland, the filmer, editor and owner of Sk8rats has been doing exactly that for years now, and his latest edit Rat Damon checks all the boxes. Sick squad, rad spots, dope track and just enough ripping to make you wanna grab your board and follow his lead. Take a look:
From the homies to household names, the edit features: Dylan Clark, Johnny Matarazzo, Travis Harrison, Shawn Hale, Aidan Campbell, Corey Glick, Cole Park, Chris Blake, Mitch Mueser, Sean Everett, Jasper Levine, Ethan Anderson and Brett Sube. It's a low-pressure edit, that's for sure. And that's certainly not a bad thing. Again—this one is bound to make you wanna skate.
From a classic Washington-based homie video to a full on brand, it's rad to see what Auckland has created with Sk8rats. I've been a fan of his videos and edits for years and love the fact that he's still out there making it happen. It's a labor of love, no doubt.
Nothing fancy or over the top. No smoke and mirrors. No gimmicks. Shane's edits are always focused on one thing: skateboarding. And personally, I'm here for it. Plus, like many of you, I'll always have a special place in my heart for the VX1000.
Peep all the latest Sk8rats gear on their site! They honestly have some super dope stuff.
